International Education Week Recap (2023)
This fall, SRJC, and Sonoma State University once again collaborated to offer expanded IEW programming for both campus communities! We would like to thank all of the participants and faculty for their support and we look forward to next year’s festivities! International Education Week gives people the opportunity to celebrate the benefits of education and exchange worldwide and to develop a deeper understanding of different cultural perspectives.
The biggest events at Sonoma State University included the Study Away Fair/International Market, as well as the annual Friends-Giving Potluck. At the market, students met with study-away alumni to gain insight into their experiences abroad. There was also a book sale/swap and Churro Truck present in Seawolf Plaza that many enjoyed.
Friends-Giving Potluck Recap
IEEC's annual Friends-Giving Potluck was held in International Hall on Friday, November 17th. Students and staff brought in food to share, and it was the perfect opportunity to catch up with everyone before Thanksgiving break. This was also the first time since August that many international and exchange students at Sonoma State University were brought together. The end of the semester is quickly approaching! We hope everyone has a great holiday season.
Instagram Takeovers 11/13 - 11/16
Three of our Sonoma State students abroad participated in Instagram takeovers during International Education Week. We’d like to thank Ember, Mia, and Nehemias for their participation and helpful information about their experience! These students are currently in England and Spain for the Fall 2023 semester. Fall 2024 & Academic Year 24-25 Application Cycle Opens
Applications for the Fall 2024 and 2024-2025 cycle have opened for CSU International Programs and National Student Exchange. Head over to https://csuip.calstate.edu/ and nse.org for more information!
The application deadline for CSU IP is February 15th, 2024. Exceptions apply for the following programs on January 15th, 2024:

Global Goodbye Gathering (Fall 2023)
Join us in International Hall on Tuesday, December 5th for our Global Goodbye Gathering. The ceremony will take place from 12pm to 1pm. Food and drinks will be provided! Whether you are going abroad, going home, or know someone who is, this is a great opportunity to say goodbye to all the friends you made this year! We hope you all had a wonderful semester.
