Make SSU Your Home
There are lots of different ways to build community and make SSU your new home. It is highly recommended that international and exchange students get out to meet fellow students with similar interests.
IEEC Student Club
Are you interested in meeting new friends from around the world? Have you ever wanted to practice a new language or experience new cultures? Join SSU’s club for bringing together international and American students – the International Education Exchange Council (IEEC)! The IEEC seeks to create a social network for all SSU students who are interested in international cultures, foreign languages, or studying abroad. Apply to be an Global Ambassador
The Global Ambassador Program is an internship and student assistant program run out of the Global Engagement Office. Ambassadors are study away alumni, international and exchange students, and work to promote globalization on campus through organizing events, providing peer advising, and marketing study away programs. The Ambassador program works closely with the International Education Exchange Council (IEEC) to provide international students with opportunities to experience the local region and build community at SSU.
