SSU Study Away by the Numbers

Since the disruption of COVID in 2020, SSU student participation in study away programs has steadily increased, catching up with our pre-COVID numbers.

Academic Year terms are Fall through Spring semesters, while Calendar Year terms are Spring through Fall semesters (generally, Southern Hemisphere countries). Winter and Summer terms are heavily influenced by Faculty-Led Programs, which may be offered only during those terms.

Students have also studied away in Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan, the US Virgin Islands, and Uzbekistan; either through a SSU Faculty-Led program or at a rate of fewer than five students since 2021.
