We also strive to align our programs and global initiatives with the Sonoma State's, which include student success, academic excellence and innovation, leadership cultivation, and transformative impact.
Below are our current program partners. If your organization or institution is interested in forming a partnership, please reach out to the Global Engagement Coordinator, Dr. Hope Ortiz, at hope.ortiz@sonoma.edu.
Active Partnerships
Sonoma State partners with several foreign institutions to facilitate reciprocal educational exchange agreements, where incoming international students enroll at SSU and SSU students enroll in partner institutions overseas. The two universities agree, in the spirit of goodwill and reciprocity, to strengthen ties between the universities and to promote academic and cultural exchange. SSU students on these international exchange programs enroll directly in a wide variety of courses offered at the host university. These programs provide students with an accessible and affordable option that allows them to have an immersive experience at the host university, experiencing the local life and culture.
Students applying to study at SSU for a semester or year through a bilateral exchange partnership will need to work with their home campus coordinator in completing an exchange application and returning the required application materials to the Global Engagement Coordinator, Dr. Hope Ortiz, at hope.ortiz@sonoma.edu.
