Upcoming IEEC Events!

On Saturday October 14th, IEEC will be going to the Midnight Showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show! This theatrical performance will be held at the Pheonix Theater in Petaluma.  This is a highly interactive show and many attendees will dress up and interact with the cast! Join us for this fun and unique experience and make sure to sign up using the google form by Tuesday, October 10th. 

IEEC will also be hosting a trip to the Petaluma Pumkin Patch on Saturday, October 28th! Pick some pumpkins straight from the field and experience an exciting time with friends in the evening corn maze. Food vendors will also be on sight for your convenience. The last day to sign up is Tuesday, October 24th! Stay updated for more trips on our Instagram page @ssustudyaway!

 

 

Gilman Scholarship Due October 5th

Reminder that the Gilman Scholarship is due on Thursday, October 5th! Scholarships of up to $5000 will be awarded this application cycle for U.S citizen undergraduate students to intern or study abroad. Program Highlight: Niigata University: Application Due Oct 15th, 2023! 

Niigata University is one of the newest SSU direct exchange programs in Japan! Niigata University has a long institutional history, with origins going back some 150 years. Located 2.5 hours by train from Tokyo, the city is known for its scenic mountains, peaceful atmosphere, and situated at the Sea of Japan. A wide range of disciplines are offered at Niigata University spanning from History, Humanities, Japanese Language, Global Studies, and many more classes offered in English. 

Applications for the Spring 2024 semester are due October 15th, 2023. For more information, make sure to visit the official program page here and contact the Global Engagement Coordinator, Hope Ortiz (hope.ortiz@sonoma.edu) to schedule an advising appointment.

SSU Event of the Week: Sustainable Seawolves Fair 

On Wednesday, October 4th, the Sustainable Seawolves Fair will be held in Seawolf Plaza from 11:00am-1:00pm. This fair will focus on showing you what sustainable practices are happening on campus and in our community, as well as give you ideas on how you can help.
