Welcome Reception Recap

Last week we had our first event which was the traditional Welcome Reception. The aim was to welcome the new international students. This event was the perfect way to meet fellow domestic and international students and to learn more about studying away. There was lots of yummy food that got eaten up, and everyone voted for the winner of the Annual Study Away Alumni Photo Contest!

And the winner is, Lillian Jue! Lilly studied abroad in Ghana last year and took an amazing, skydiving shot. Congratulations on your win! Spring Lake Recap

On Friday, 2 September, we had our first off-campus event organized by IEECthe Ambassadors. We had such a fun trip to Spring Lake in Santa Rosa. We went hiking, kayaking and we had a picnic all together. It was the perfect opportunity to get to know each other while visiting the surrounding area.

This Wednesday we will be present at the Seawolf Success Fair. If you are interested do not hesitate to come and see us, we will be able to discuss study abroad and answer all your questions and guide you in the steps to follow! We will also talk about the international club on campus, International Education Exchange Council (IEEC), and our upcoming events! Everyone is welcome!

 

First Coffee & Culture This Week!
Thursday, September 15th, 2022, 12-1 pm – International Hall

Don’t miss out on the first Coffee & Culture of the semester! Next week we’ll be discussing classroom culture. This is a great chance to meet students who will be studying away over the next year and international students at SSU, so don’t hesitate to come and make some friends.

Taylor Mountain Hike Next Week

We’re waiting for you to come to our second off-campus event on Friday, September 23. IEEC is organizing a trip to Taylor Mountain to watch the sunset (and take those Instagram shots!). Stay tuned for more information and don’t forget to sign up
