IEEC’s next Coffee & Culture will be a celebration of all the amazing places National Student Exchange candidates will be going this Fall semester or upcoming academic year, such as Alaska, Arizona, and Hawaii! Upcoming NSE students are especially encouraged to stop by to meet other students studying abroad and discuss their upcoming adventures. We’ll be sharing coffee, American snacks, and playing games, so don’t miss out!
Safari West Adventure
Friday, April 8th, 2022 10 am meeting @ the flagpole
Don’t miss your chance to join the IEEC for a trip to one of Sonoma County’s most amazing locations! Safari West is an animal preserve unlike any other on the West Coast, where you can see nearly 90 different species on a Jeep tour of their 400-acre park. We will also be having lunch on-site, where you can dine while having an incredible view of the animals. This is generally a $135 value but SSU students who sign up will only have to pay $40! Spaces are very limited so make sure to sign up as soon as possible. See the hours listed below for when you can drop by International Hall 107 and pay your deposit! You can also express your interest by signing up online!
Trip registration and deposit payment windows in IH 107:

Tuesdays: 12-4PM
Wednesdays: 11AM-5PM

Cultural Potluck
Friday, April 15th, 2022 6-9 pm
Spend an evening snacking and relaxing with the IEEC at our potluck! Bring a drink or a dish that reminds you of home as we’ll be exploring the world one snack at a time. This will be a great opportunity to get to know students who will be studying abroad soon. Try some new foods, make some new friends, and get excited about your upcoming adventures.
Cloverdale Citrus Fair Trip
Friday, April 22nd, 2022 1 pm meet up @ the flagpole
The Cloverdale Citrus Fair is one of the most anticipated events of the year in Sonoma County so of course the IEEC will be attending! Come along with us to experience all the fair has to offer, such as rides, food, and carnival games. We’ll be meeting at the flagpole at 1 pm and carpooling to the fair together so be sure to sign up as soon as possible to secure your spot! Seeing an American fair is a must, especially for international students!
Tip of the Week: Don’t forget to check your SSU email!
If you’re planning on studying abroad this upcoming fall semester or school year make sure to check your SSU email frequently. The Global Engagement Office, along with the individual programs, will be sending out important updates as well as hosting mandatory meetings. All of this will be vital for your upcoming studies so be sure to check often.
