GEO Weekly Bulletin 03/03/2025

This week’s bulletin includes a recap of our trip to Bodega Bay, more IEEC events that are coming up, and some important deadlines for study abroad applications!

IEEC’s Trip to Bodega Bay Recap!

Although foretasted to rain on our excursion, we were happily met with clear blue skies at the start of our trip! It was a great day for a hike to the horseshoe overlook and back where we took some breathtaking pictures. After our hike, we munched on some snacks while keeping our eyes peeled for any traveling whales. Sadly, none of our favorite marine mammals were spotted as the seemingly clear skies decided to sprinkle a little bit of rain on us. We sheltered in our cars for a bit before playing around a little longer in the wind, calling it a day! Thank you to everyone who joined us for this amazing event! Be sure to check out IEEC’s other upcoming events.

With a sparkling lineup of champagnes, you're in for a fun-filled day of tasting, learning, and history. Join us on this unforgettable trip where you’ll enjoy a guided walking tour through Korbel’s historic museum and cellar—plus, sip on a variety of their best champagne along the way. Don’t forget to stop by the delicatessen and market to grab a bite while soaking up the outdoor vibes! Sign up for the Korbel Winery Trip here! You have to be 21+ to consume alcohol, but even for those who won’t be partaking in the bubbly, this is a fun and beautiful location to visit and learn more about the history of Sonoma County.
