Don’t miss out on our next Coffee & Culture which is this Thursday! This week, IEEC engages in conversations with students to exchange stories about their favorite country to travel to over coffee (or tea for those who prefer). We will be waiting for you at International Hall 107 from 12pm until 1pm. 

 

International Education Week is November 14th to 18th

Don’t miss out on International Education Week next week, it will start on Monday, November 14, 2022 and will end on Friday, November 18, 2022. International Education Week (IEW) is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange, and to develop a broader understanding of international cultures and languages worldwide. Join us for a live premiere of our IEW Kickoff Video! What is IEW? What international programs and services do we offer? What events are happening throughout the week? We will answer these and other burning questions!

 

Master Dance/Drumming Class with African Diaspora Artist: 
7-8:30pm - SRJC Campus, Tauzer 951

Come Join Us to celebrate the Wonder and Beauty of West African dance, our Dance Master Tyehimba Kokayi has studied from some of the Best West African Dancers and Drummers from Senegal, Mali, Guinea, Liberia, Ivory Coast and more! Be sure to sign up to join our car pool to the event at SRCJ!

Ever wondered what Konichiwa means? What about feliz cumpleaños? Join us for a "taste" of other languages like Japanese, Spanish, and German. Meet international students who will share their native language in Zoom breakout rooms.

Presented by SSU's Semester at Sonoma student from Germany.

 

On Friday 18th: 

IEW International Friendsgiving Potluck: 
5-7pm - International Hall 104

IEEC will host an international potluck to share our culture and home celebrations. All students who want to join must RSVP.  We will be providing a turkey and drink, you can bring your favorite traditional dish to share! (Bringing a dish to share is not required but encouraged.)
