Explore myth, dreams, psychology, and the Irish landscape by spending 10 days immersed in Ireland’s Boyne Valley and Dublin while exploring the inner world of the unconscious through contemporary dream research, Jungian dreamwork, mythology, and storytelling. Based primarily at Rock Farm Slane, an ecotourism center and organic farm on the Slane Castle estate, students will participate in dream groups, reflective activities, lectures, storytelling, and other experiential learning while visiting some of Ireland’s most significant sacred and cultural sites, including Newgrange and Knowth, the Hill of Tara, Loughcrew Cairns, the Hill of Uisneach, and Slane Castle. The program concludes in Dublin with a visit to the National Museum and a walking tour, giving students a unique opportunity to connect the study of myth, dream, symbol, and the unconscious with Ireland’s landscapes, traditions, and culture.
Please note: Students who have already completed PSY 322 at Sonoma State University are not eligible to participate in this program.
