USAC Scholarships for Summer Programs Deadline: March 1st

USAC (University Studies Abroad Consortium) offers a wide range of study abroad scholarships to help make international education more affordable, including general scholarships by region, access scholarships for underrepresented or specific student groups, and many program-specific awards with varying eligibility and award amounts. Completing one USAC Scholarship Application after applying to a program automatically enters students for all scholarships they qualify for, and awards are competitive and based on criteria such as GPA and financial need. In addition to USAC’s internal scholarships, students are encouraged to explore external scholarship databases and funding sources to further support their study abroad expenses.

USAC Highlight: Växjö, Sweden

Växjö, the capital of the Kronoberg region in southeastern Sweden, was an important trading center as early as the eighth century and lies in the heart of the “Kingdom of Crystal,” known for world-famous glassworks such as Kosta Boda and Orrefors. Today, it is recognized for its high-tech industry, furniture manufacturing, and strong commitment to sustainability, earning the title of the “Greenest City in Europe.” Surrounded by forests and pristine lakes, Växjö offers rich cultural experiences, historic sites, vibrant nightlife, diverse cuisine, and notable museums such as the Swedish Emigrant Institute, which commemorates the 1.3 million Swedes who emigrated to the United States between 1850 and 1930.
