Remember to upload photos to be voted on during the Welcome Reception!

To enter the photo contest, using Google Photos or email, share up to three high-quality photos from your study away experience with [email protected] by Wednesday, January 28, before 11:59 PM! Be sure to include your name, your study away location, and the location of the photo in the email. The winner of the photo contest will be selected at the Welcome Reception and will win a prize! Photo entries will also be highlighted during the semester. Below are some contest entries from previous years!

*Please note that by entering the photo contest, you are giving the Global Engagement Office permission to retain and use the submitted photos for future marketing.

Gilman Scholarship Workshops

 

Scholarship Deadline: March 5th, 2026

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program, administered by the U.S. Department of State, supports students with limited financial means to study or intern abroad, enhancing skills crucial for national security and economic prosperity. It is a competitive, merit-based scholarship available to Pell Grant recipients or those who will receive a Pell Grant during their term of study abroad. Join us to work on your scholarship application!

Fund for Education Abroad Scholarship

 

Through the generous support of Academic Travel Abroad (ATA), the Fund for Education Abroad was established in 2010 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization to address the need for an independent scholarship provider to enable more American college students to study abroad. Since 2010, FEA has awarded over $4.6 million in scholarships to 1369 undergraduates, helping students from all over the United States follow their dreams of studying abroad.

FEA remains the only national independent non-profit study abroad scholarship provider funded exclusively with philanthropic support. (FEA Site)

These immersive programs offer hands-on, experiential learning around the world, combining professional practices, language and cultural study, service learning, and industry engagement. Students gain real-world experience in education, human rights, and global business through site visits, community partnerships, and academic exploration in locations such as San Miguel de Allende, Washington, D.C., and South America’s premier wine regions.

USAC Highlight: Rabat, Morocco

 

USAC has a new program for Summer 2027!! Spend your days immersed in Moroccan culture and Arabic study while living with a host family in Rabat, where daily life includes bustling souks, shared meals, and meaningful cultural exchange. As Morocco’s welcoming coastal capital, Rabat offers historic sites, cafés, beaches, and a walkable, student-friendly environment with a mild climate. You’ll study at the Center for Cross-Cultural Learning, participate in lectures and cultural events, and explore Morocco through included field trips and easy weekend travel to cities like Casablanca, Fes, and Marrakesh.
