GEO Weely Bulletin - 2/17/2025
This week’s bulletin includes a Bodega Bay trip announcement, other upcoming events, and important deadlines!
IEEC Goes to Bodega Bay
Saturday, March 1st, 2 PM-7:30 PM
Spend the day at Bodega Head, enjoying the fresh coastal air and keeping an eye out for whales as they migrate to the colder northern waters. We’ll settle down for a relaxing picnic with snacks, surrounded by beautiful views and good company. Our trip falls around the halfway point of the migration season, giving us a good chance to spot these incredible creatures; fingers crossed! While there will be some walking along trails (which might not all be paved), it’s just a small part of the outing, so don’t let that little walk dissuade you! It’s a perfect opportunity to unwind and connect with nature! Sign Up Deadline is February 21st! Sign up for IEEC Trips here! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about our trips!

Gilman Scholarship Workshops
Are you looking for scholarships for studying abroad? The Gilman Scholarship Program may be the perfect fit for you. This program looks to support students who would otherwise be unable to study abroad due to financial constraints. In explaining how the location you are traveling to helps you achieve your career or academic goals you become a good applicant for the program. In an effort to expose more CSU students to this program, the CSU advisors are coming together and putting on virtual workshops so students can receive assistance if they are looking for it. More information, including dates and times of each workshop, can be found on the Gilman Workshop Page. Also on that page, the direct link to the Gilman Program’s website can be found.
