IEEC Goes to the Academy of Sciences!

Fund for Education Abroad Scholarship
Application Due February 5th
If you are studying abroad and looking for scholarship opportunities, then this may be the one for you! With a singular application opening doors to many different scholarships, the Fund for Education Abroad is a great way to explore your options. Applications are due on February 5th, so be sure to submit everything on time! More information can be found on the Fund for Education Abroad Website.
Psychology in Ireland Info Meeting

Interested in Studying Away through a shorter session? Take Psychology 322: Myth, Dream, and Symbol in Ireland! Explore the inner world of the unconscious while staying in the picturesque Irish Countryside. The course will draw from contemporary dream research and Jungian dream work and employ methods of dream incubation (asking specific questions of our dreams) to work with the creative and integrative potential of the dreaming mind. 1st Coffee and Culture of the Semester, Theme: Chinese New Year, Year of the Snake

We’re excited to kick off the new semester with a special celebration for the start of the Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year! This year, we’re welcoming the Year of the Snake, a symbol of wisdom, charm, and confidence. The Chinese New Year is a time for family reunions, honoring ancestors, and wishing for good fortune in the year ahead. It’s celebrated with vibrant traditions, including dragon dances, fireworks, red decorations for luck, and the giving of red envelopes filled with money (a symbol of good luck and prosperity). So come celebrate with us! Food and drinks will be provided, and it’s a great way to spend your lunch hour, meet new friends, and learn about the rich traditions of the Chinese New Year!
CSUIP Priority and NSE Preferred Deadlines

Applying to study away for next year or next semester? Possibly considering enrolling in the National Student Exchange, our program to study away within the US or Canada with over 160 partner universities, or the California State University International Program, our primary study abroad program? Both options offer unique opportunities for academic and cultural experiences. Each program provides a chance to study at different institutions, either within the U.S. or abroad. Application deadlines are coming up, so be sure to submit your application by Feb. 15th to ensure your application is received! Sonoma State University Event Highlight: Opening Reception for Land, Sky & Sea: Perspectives by Catherine Daley, Adrian Mendoza, and Bambi Waterman
Thursday, Feb. 6th, 4-6 PM
The exhibition highlights the work of three Sonoma County artists: Catherine Daley, Adrian Mendoza, and Bambi Waterman. Their diverse creations include minimalist sculptures, aerial photography, and vibrant fiber arts, offering a unique perspective on landscapes from land and sky. The show also features delicate ceramics and exquisite paintings of underwater scenes that explore the beauty and fragility of the oceans. Through these works, the exhibition artists aim to bring awareness to the delicate balance of our natural environment and the importance of protecting it.
