IEEC Goes to Salt Point Recap
IEEC joined Outdoor Pursuit on a wonderful hike at Salt Point! Taking in the views of the flowers by the beach while gazing at the beautiful rocks, the crew made their way to a little lunch spot. On the way back, they stopped by a lovely creamery in Valley Ford where they had some amazing cheese and ice cream. It was overall a wonderful day of enjoying the outdoors.
IEEC Fast Food Bingo Check-in
We hope everyone is having a delicious time competing in our American Fast Food Bingo activity! We would love to see where everybody is in their progress, so be sure to upload it to the IEEC Bingo Form where you can continuously upload your pictures and ratings so it’s easy to keep it all in one place! We here at the GEO office wish everyone good food and happy eating! Just a reminder that the last day to submit your bingo cards is May 5th!
Escape Room
Thursday, April 24th, IH 107 10-1 PM
IEEC will be hosting a specially-themed International Escape Room in IH 107 from 10-1 pm. You will solve puzzles, unlock clues, and navigate through global-themed challenges! This is a great way to test your teamwork skills and cultural knowledge! Reservations are only $5 per person, which will help to fund IEEC initiatives, such as continuing to support the global community on campus with on and off-campus events and the annual study away scholarship!
Coffee & Culture: Oceania

Come join us for this week’s Coffee & Culture as we delve into Oceania. Expect fun food and conversation as we talk about this fantastic regional area filled with fascinating cultures! Whether you are looking to study away or simply enjoy talking/learning about other areas of the world, we invite you to join us for the hour! Lobo’s Night Market

Join us for an on-campus night market! IEEC will be tabling with our books, so be sure to check us out and see if we have anything that you think you’d be interested in! All proceeds of our Market go back to our club so we can continue to host our amazing events! Such as Coffee & Culture, IEEC Goes to events, and more! We’d love to see everyone stop by our table so we can say hi!
Summer Study Abroad Pre-Orientation

If you are joining one of the summer study abroad programs, be sure to check your email for an invitation to the Pre-Orientation! We will be sharing some fun facts, things to keep an eye on, and some tips and tricks for your study abroad experience. All the information for this Pre-Orientation will be sent to you directly, so please check your emails for the time and location! We here at the GEO Office hope you all have an amazing time during your summer study away sessions!
Seawolf Decision Day

NSE Highlight: Augsburg University, Minnesota
Minneapolis, Minnesota
Augsburg’s campus is located in a vibrant area close to downtown. With a large proportion of the student body falling under the minority umbrella Augsburg is recognized as a minority-serving institution (MSI). With over 50 Majors, Minors, and Student organizations, Augsburg is a great location to enhance your college experience. A notable academic program is their Graphic Design program, which offers a unique experiential design studio approach through interdisciplinary teaching of design thinking and problem-solving. Some unique academic programs include: a river semester, focusing on environmental justice and social change in the Mississippi watershed, the StepUp program, and Playwrights’ Center Affiliated Course. The deadline to apply is April 30th, so be sure to get those applications in!
SSU Highlight: Earth Day Plant Sale | Biology Graduate Students Club
Tuesday, April 22nd - Thursday, April 24th from 10 AM-3 PM, Darwin Lobby
The Biology Graduate Club is hosting an Earth Day Plant Sale from April 22-24! They’ll be selling a variety of plants, including ones hand-grown by their members and selections from local shops. It’s a great way to celebrate Earth Day, support their club, and bring home some greenery!
