USAC Visits SSU

Wednesday, April 9th

USAC will be visiting the SSU campus on April 9th to talk to students about some amazing opportunities for international study! USAC is a nonprofit organization that is all about creating authentic study abroad opportunities! With more than 50 affordable programs, they cover a wide range of interests. Interested in learning more? Make sure to stop by during one of their events, either a tabling or information meeting,  to get your questions answered!


International Internships Webinar with Maximo Nivel

Wednesday, April 9th, 3-4 PM

In this short info session, you’ll learn about Maximo Nivel’s Internship opportunities in Costa Rica, Peru, and Guatemala! Gain valuable professional skills and improve your Spanish while making a positive impact internationally. As a student you are able to earn credit for the programs towards certain majors. Coffee & Culture: Ghana and South Africa

Thursday, April 10th in IH107 from 12-1 PM

Come join us for this week’s Coffee & Culture as we delve into what interests us about Ghana and South Africa. Expect fun food and conversation as we talk about all these countries have to offer! This event is not limited to students who want to study away either; all are welcome! All of our upcoming Coffee & Culture events can also be found on the GEO & IEEC Upcoming Events Page!


IEEC Goes to Boards and Boba

Thursday, April 10th 6 PM- 9 PM Ballroom A

Challenge your friends to a variety of exciting board games, including Sabobatoge, Exploding Kittens, Ticket to Ride, and more. Winners of each game will be rewarded with a free boba tea! (While supplies last.) Don’t forget to bring your SSU ID to participate, and be sure to meet us at the Student Center lobby at 6:00 PM. Don’t miss out on the fun! Play, win, and sip the night away!

University of Canberra Application Deadline:

Application due April 10th

The Global Engagement Office is excited to announce a new partnership with the University of Canberra. This partnership opens up a new and exciting study away opportunity in Australia! Some details are still being hammered out, but the deadline is looming so don’t be afraid to check it out or set up a meeting with Hope Ortiz if you are looking for more details! More details on the program can be found on the SSU AbroadOffice site which is also the location of the application! With applications due on April 10th, be sure to get those applications in so you can begin your new adventure!


IEEC Fast Food Bingo Check-in

We hope everyone is having a delicious time competing in our American Fast Food Bingo activity! We would love to see where everybody is in their progress, so be sure to upload it to the IEEC Bingo Form where you can continuously upload your pictures and ratings so it’s easy to keep it all in one place! We here at the GEO office wish everyone good food and happy eating! Just a reminder that the last day to submit your bingo cards is May 5th!

SSU Highlight: Zen Gardens

Get ready for some peaceful fun making Zen Gardens! Make your own Zen Garden and enjoy a night of creativity and laughs. This is a great activity before the final month of class this semester to ensure that everyone is in the right mindset and as stress-free as possible before the busy season!
