Monday:
IEW Kickoff and Promo Video
November 18th, Monday at 12 pm
Check out the Promo Video, now up on Instagram and on the IEW webpage. This video will be on our website and Instagram, so please go and check it out when it drops on Monday! The video can be found under the IEW Kickoff drop-down on the International Education Week web page!
Shakespeare in London Info Session
November 18th, Monday at 12 pm, IH 107
Interested in going abroad this upcoming summer? Faculty will be holding an Info Session on the Summer 2025 Shakespeare in London Course. Secure your upper division C GE while exploring much of what the UK has to offer regarding Shakespeare! Come to the Information Session to find out more and ask any questions that you may have! Go Global! Study Away Fair
November 19th, Tuesday from 11-2 pm, Salazar Plaza
Looking for more information on study away programs? There will be a Study Away Fair in Salazar Plaza where different programs will be highlighted! Alumni from some of the programs will be present as well as other partner programs. There will also be international food trucks! We are looking forward to seeing everybody there! You can also participate in our traditional Better World Books buy/swap/donate at the event, so bring a book to swap or purchase books for just $1 each!
Commemorative Event of 75 years of Basic Law Exhibition
November 19th, Tuesday from 4-5pm, Stevenson 1300
Join us in celebrating 75 years of Germany’s basic law with an inspiring commemorative event to honor Germany's landmark advancements in constitutional rights, particularly women’s rights. Both Deputy Consul Franziska Obermeyer and SSU History professor Dr. Stece Estes will speak. A special trivia contest that lasts throughout the week will be launched as well as snacks and refreshments provided!
SRJC Latin Dancing
November 19th, Tuesday from 8-9 pm, Analy Village Room #640 (SRJC Campus)
The JC is hosting a Latin Dancing event! Students will learn the basics and history of some of the most popular dances, such as: merengue, bachata, and salsa! Learning these dances will allow students to have a better understanding of these genres and have the ability to use these moves at other social events! All are welcome!

Language Bites
November 20th, Wednesday from 12-1 pm on Zoom
Our annual Language Bites event is on! Join us on Zoom for a delightful “taste” of other languages! You will be able to meet international students and converse with them in breakout rooms where they will share their native languages! The Zoom link for the Language Bites meeting can be found here!

SSU International Escape Room
November 21st, Thursday from 10-2 pm, IH107
IEEC will be hosting a specially-themed International Escape Room in IH 107 from 10-2 pm. You can sign up for your time slot for the Escape Room here! You will solve puzzles, unlock clues, and navigate through global-themed challenges! This is a great way to test your teamwork skills and cultural knowledge! Reservations are only $5 per person which will help to fund IEEC initiatives, such as continuing to support the global community on campus with on and off-campus events and the annual study away scholarship!
Coffee & Culture: International Snacks
November 21st, Thursday from 12-1 pm, IH107
Come join us for our last Coffee & Culture of the year! The theme, which was picked by you all via an Instagram poll, will be International Snacks featuring snacks from many countries in order to honor our International Education Week! This is a great way to get a taste of snacks from around the globe! Conversations will be brewing and travels discussed, so make sure to swing on by our final Coffee & Culture!
Encanto Sing-Along
November 21st, Thursday from 7:30-9:30pm, Weill Hall, Green Music Center
This special edition showing of Encanto features a live band playing music while the film is playing. Encanto lovers of all ages can sing along with their favorite Grammy Award-winning songs! Be sure to check out this amazing production this Thursday!

IEW Friendsgiving Dinner
November 22nd, Friday from 5-7 pm, IH107
Join us for our annual IEW Friendsgiving Dinner on Friday, November 22nd from 5-7 pm! A global potluck where people bring dishes from their cultures and home countries! Enjoy amazing food, good company, and scintillating conversations all in one evening. The Potluck sign-up link is here!
