Coffee and Culture: Halloween! Recap
Many participants came to have fun at our pumpkin-carving extravaganza! From abducting aliens to goofy grins and even the classic Jack Skellington smile, creativity was everywhere. The IEEC had an absolutely spooktacular and sugar-filled day of carving and painting! The next one is on Nov 14 and it’s Spain!
IEEC Goes to the Fairfield-Osborn Preserve

Interested in seeing the natural wonders of Sonoma Mountain? Join IEEC on our tour of Sonoma State’s Fairfield-Osborn Preserve on Sunday, November 10th to see just what Sonoma County has to offer. This will be a day event so plan ahead for beautiful views, cool nature, and fun camaraderie! All are welcome and this event is FREE! If you are interested, make sure to sign up for the Preserve Trip here, and tell your friends about this super cool trip happening right in our backyard!
International Education Week Escape Room
Thursday, November 21 from 10AM-2PM in International Hall 107
Want to challenge your knack for escape rooms? Come join the IEEC’s Escape Room Fundraiser on November 21st in International Hall 107 from 10-2 pm! Solve puzzles with your group tailored to each country and earn stamps in your passport before the 30-minute timer runs out. Watch out for your chance to sign up! Space will be limited!
Program Highlight: National Student Exchange (NSE)
Want to study away, but don’t think International study is for you? No problem! The National Student Exchange (NSE) allows you to experience other universities or states whilst staying more local! NSE offers many locations throughout many disciplines as well as locations in Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Canada! Applications for NSE are open for the spring semester until November 30th! So, if this sounds like something you’re interested in, make sure to get those in! The NSE Virtual Fair is a great opportunity to learn more about the program, this fair runs through International Education Week (November 18-22), so be sure to sign up for any of the meetings you’d like to attend!

Join the Global Engagement Office, IEEC, and other organizations on and off campus in celebrating International Education Week with some fun events and get-togethers! The events can all be found on the International Education Week webpage! Look forward to seeing everybody! There will be an event every day with the Kickoff on Monday, the Go Global! Study Away Fair on Tuesday, and on Wednesday there will be a fun interactive language event! Thursday is a special edition of our Coffee and Culture as well as our very own escape room for our international week! Finally, it all will culminate in a Friendsgiving on that Friday! Keep an eye out for the signup sheet!
Kaffeestunde Modern Languages & Literature

Join at Sip for a relaxed and fun German Conversation Hour! Connect with other German speakers Cellie Gottfried and Lilia Wildemann, Peer Language Facilitators from the University of Heidelberg to improve your German in a friendly environment. This is a fantastic chance to practice your language skills with native speakers. Whether you're just starting or are already fluent, everyone is welcome as this is a great chance to practice your language skills with native speakers! German Film Series, Featuring When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit

Come check out the German film series this week with the moving story of nine-year-old Anna as she flees the Nazi regime in 1933 Berlin. This thought-provoking film follows her journey across Switzerland, France, and England, capturing the challenges and resilience of a young refugee leaving everything behind, including her beloved stuffed animal. Told from a child’s perspective, the film offers a unique and insightful look into the refugee and integration experience. With English subtitles.
