1. What Motivates you to Study Abroad?

Dulce: Studying abroad has been a dream of mine since I was in high school, but it wasn’t until my first year at university that I knew this dream of mine was achievable. My goal to experience a different academic approach and study in another country has motivated me to study abroad.

2. What are a few goals you have for yourself during your time abroad?

Dulce: One goal I have for myself during my time abroad is to gain a new educational point of view and learn new teaching methods/approaches. Another goal I have for myself during my time abroad is to get involved with the school by joining a club or some other type of involvement. Last but not least, I wish to travel and explore the country.

3. In what ways do you think studying abroad will influence your life/career in 5 years?

Dulce: I wish to pursue a career in teaching, and with this specific program, I will have the remarkable opportunity to teach English in an elementary school. Therefore, five years from now, I hope studying abroad will have influenced my teaching practice, and I took away unforgettable tips.

4. What do you want to take away most from this experience?

Dulce: I want to take away independence from this experience. Moving away for the semester and being far away will give me the chance to experience living on my own and help me grow as a person.

5. Lastly, how will this scholarship impact your experience while studying abroad?

Dulce: This scholarship specifically requires a project, which I believe will be an unforgettable treasure I will always cherish. I plan to vlog my experience abroad, and hopefully, after my time abroad I can influence other students. This scholarship will also help me financially, which will be a great help throughout my time abroad.
