Coffee & Culture: Asia Recap

The IEEC held its sixth Coffee & Culture of the semester, Asia! We enjoyed a choice of Coffee or Green Tea whilst we discussed our favorite Asian cuisine as well as our experiences of Asian traditions and culture including art, architecture, and lifestyle. Those from Asia, those who have studied away in Asia, those interested in studying away in Asia as well as those just interested in learning more about Asian culture and landscapes joined us to share their experiences and meet new people! Spring Break This Week! + Study Away Alum Takeover!

Come along with study away alum and current student ambassador Paige Berendsen as she travels through the UK and visits her old host city! Get a look at life in Birmingham, Edinburgh, and London from the perspective of a fellow student. Local nightlife, restaurants, museums, public transport, and people are just some of the interesting and exciting things to anticipate. IEEC Movie Night: Movie Announced!
Wednesday, March 29th @7pm in Alexander Valley Room (Student Center)

Join us after Spring Break for Movie Night! After two weeks of polls where you voted on 8 movies, the winner is… (drumroll please!) 

Parasite! 

Parasite is a Korean film released in 2019 about two families: The wealthy Park family and the destitute Kim family. Greed and class discrimination threaten the relationship between them. Sign up to come to see the fate of the two families on March 29th! Bring your friends!

 

Study Away Program Highlight: EM Normandie
Deadline: March 30

Studying business and interested in studying away? Apply to EM Normandie Business School by March 30! Founded in 1871 as one of the first French international management schools, today EM Normandie is one of the Top Business Schools in the world with six campuses located in Caen, Dublin, Le Havre, Oxford, Paris, and Dubai!

 

Summer Program Options

Applications are now open for Summer 2023! SSU students can participate in summer programs with our foreign university partners, EM Normandie, Leeds, and Liverpool, as well as through our partnerships with NSE and USAC. You can check out more information on those programs on our study away application portal.
 

SSU Event of the Week: SSU Softball vs. Cal Poly Humboldt and SSU Baseball vs. Chico State
Friday, March 24

Support the Seawolves Softball Team as they compete against Cal Poly Humboldt! There will be two games on Friday, March 24th, the first starting at 1PM and the second game starting at 3PM on the Seawolf Softball Field! You can also support the Seawolves Baseball Team as they compete against Chico State on Friday, March 24th between 2PM and 4PM at Seawolf Diamond! Remember to bring your SSU ID for free entry!
