International Game Night: Among Us on February 4 at 7PM!

Zoom meeting ID: 8962111939

SSU GEO is having our first event of the semester: Among Us Night! This game splits players into two camps: crewmates and impostors. For crewmates, the objective of the game is to complete a series of tasks and survive. Impostors, on the other hand, want to kill most of the crewmates onboard; once there’s an equal number of impostors and crewmates left alive, the impostors win. Participants get the chance to win a Door Dash gift card! Can't wait to see you all there!

Research classes at your desired location!

When deciding on which program you would like to apply to, make sure to research what classes you can take there and compare them to the classes you need to graduate! Check out information on the study away program websites, and research the classes that are available on the host university websites.

CSU IP Cancels Southern Hemisphere Programs for Fall 2021

Why programs were canceled:

Due to the unpredictable trajectory and impact of COVID-19, CSU IP has made the decision to suspend Australia, Chile, and South Africa. This decision was not made lightly and was primarily decided based on the earlier start date of these southern hemisphere countries (July). CSU IP also considered the following factors: vaccine availability in the U.S. and the host country, active COVID-19 cases in-country, recent increase/decrease COVID-19 case trends, CDC and State Department guidelines, visa availability and requirements, in-country COVID-19 protocols, CSU IP on-site support and resources, and host university Fall 2021 suspensions and/or virtual campus plans. Your safety and support while participating in a study abroad program is always a top priority.

What are good alternatives?

Students who had been interested in applying to one of these canceled locations have various options available, including, deferring applications to Spring 2022 or Calendar Year 2022. Additionally, students who were interested in:

Australia are encouraged to consider Ghana, UK Hull or Birmingham, NSE Canada

Chile can apply to Mexico, Spain, or NSE Puerto Rico

South Africa can look into Ghana

Of course, all students can consider the many programs we have available here at SSU, listed on our Programs webpage.
