Lobo’s Night Market Next Week! 

Wednesday, April 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 at the Seawolf Plaza

Join us for an on-campus night market to help IEEC raise money for events and the study away scholarship! Stop by for a chance to purchase traditionally inspired international jewelry, including pieces made with beads all the way from West Africa!IEEC is also doing our semesterly book swap! Buy, Swap, or Donate books. All books will be sold for $1 only, and proceeds go towards supporting the club. Swapping and Donating comes at no cost to you! Ready to start clearing off your bookshelf for the end of the semester? Donated books will go to Better World Books, an organization that provides books to communities in need around the world and in support of environmental programs. Better World Books is also the online destination for buying books offering the widest selection of used and new books. Better World Books betters the world, one book at a time. Coffee & Culture: Spanish-Speaking Countries Recap

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for our Coffee & Culture! We had a chance to explore Spanish-speaking countries, enjoy some snacks, and talk with fellow students interested in Spanish-speaking countries. We loved getting a chance to connect with others and try the loved Mexican snack, Cacauates Japoneses!  Watch out for the next Coffee & Culture: Asia on Thursday, April 25! 

 

IEEC Study Away Scholarship due next week April 25

Support your study abroad adventure with the IEEC Study Away scholarship! This annual essay competition offers a $300 boost to help you explore new cultures and seize exciting opportunities. Open to all prospective study away students, including those in the National Student Exchange program, it's your chance to broaden your horizons. Simply maintain a 2.50 GPA, be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours (undergraduate) at Sonoma State University, and attend one IEEC event to qualify. Don't miss out and submit your application by April 25, and we'll announce the winner on April 30.

SSU Event of the Week: Native Fest

Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 12:00 PM  to 1:00 PM at Seawolf Plaza 

If you’re not attending the Fulbright Workshop on Thursday, be sure to check out this event! Native Fest celebrates Native American & Indigenous culture and music. Sonoma State will host local Native communities and allies to connect and bring awareness to resources and educational opportunities.
