IEEC Armstrong Woods Recap
On Sunday, September 10th, IEEC hosted their first trip to Armstrong Woods and the Russian River. 13 international and domestic students spent a relaxing time strolling through the redwood forest, enjoying nature, and taking a swim in the Russian River later in the day. IEEC hosts about 3-4 trips per month! Make sure to sign up for future events using the IEEC trip form and follow the @ssustudyaway Instagram to stay updated!
Aguacero: Puerto Rican Music and Dance Event
Join The Hub Cultural Center on Wednesday, September 20th in celebrating Latinx Heritage Month with Aguacero. Aguacero is an artistic, educational, and cultural project that focuses on the traditions and creative expressions of Puerto Rican Bomba music and dance. This event will be held in Ballroom A of the Student Center from 6pm to 7:30pm. More information here!
Coffee and Culture: Asia Recap
On Thursday, September 14th, Coffee and Culture: Asia was held in International Hall 107. Ambassadors prepared tea and snacks from South Korea and Japan, and prospective study away students asked questions about abroad programs. We also participated in a questionnaire and watched music videos from different Asian regions!
Coffee and Culture: Italy
On Thursday, September 21st, IEEC will be hosting Coffee and Culture: Italy! The Global Engagement Office Ambassadors will be preparing Affogatos, an Italian coffee-based dessert! Come join us in IH 107 to chat about Italy or come with any general questions about study away.
